About Of My Lifetime

Hi, my name is Wes. I’m 42 years old. I was born in 1980. A nice round number. Over my 4 plus decades I’ve discovered some things I like. Sports, with baseball being far and away my favorite, video games, movies, music, sneakers and lists. Who doesn’t like a good list? I had the idea to start a blog with these things in mind. The top “fill in the blank”… Of My Lifetime.

Keep in mind that these lists are of my lifetime. In other words, music, movies, sneakers released since 1980, events that happened after 1980 or players I actually remember having seen play. So it’s not a glaring oversight when Ted Williams is not included with the top left fielders list. Also I decided to not rank things primarily by numbers, records, titles or any other quantifiable metrics. These lists will take all those of those things and more into consideration but one of the primary factors in my rankings will be nostalgia. All of the people, places or things on my lists invoke some memory or feeling of fondness and that is why they’re included. Is Steve Avery making any all-time Top 10 lists? Probably not. But he will definitely appear on my Top MLB Pitchers Of My Lifetime list because as an 11 year old Braves fan from middle Georgia he was the best to ever do it for his performance in the 1991 NLCS.
